The phone's ringtone setting has priority.
1. The priority for ringtone setting: Alert>Directory>Group>Account>Setting
2. Alert setting is in Top priority.
On the webpage, "Setting→Features→Alert Ring"
Enter the key words that incoming call contains. There are 5 types of ring tone.
- Alert Ring
- Local Contact Ring Tone
- Local Contact Group Ring Tone
- Profile Ring Tone
- Global Ring Tone

1. Configure Global Ring Tone
This is the most used type of ring tone, but also the lowest priority.
If no others type of ring tone rule be matched, when the phone received an incoming call, the phone will play global ring tone.

On phone's web → Setting → Preference, configure the Ring Tones.
On phone's LCD → Menu → Settings → Basic Setting → Ring Tone
2. Configure Profile Ring Tone
Profile ring tone works when the specific account that uses this profile received an incoming call.
A phone has up to 6 profiles.
Multiple account could use a same profile, so they will have the same profile ring tone.

3. Configure Local Contact Group Ring Tone
You could configure ring tone for a local contact group. This parameter will influence all the local contacts who belongs to this group but has no local contact specific ring tone.
On phone's web → Directory → Directory, when you add a Group, set a ring tone for it. (You cannot set a ring tone for an exists group on webpage)
On phone's LCD → Directory → (Local) Contacts, add a new local contact group or enter the details of the exists local contact group to set a ring tone for the group.
4. Configure Local Contact Specific Ring Tone
You could configure ring tone for a specific local contact.
On phone's webpage → Directory → Directory, when you add a contact or choose a exists contact, set the Ring parameter.
On phone's LCD → Directory → (Local) Contacts → Contacts, when you add a contact or edit a exists contact, set the Ring Tone parameter.
5. Configure Alert Ring
Alert Ring could help you when you want to distinguish some types of incoming calls, like internal calls and external calls.
On the webpage, Setting → Features → Alert Ring
Enter the key word that incoming call contains.
For example, when an external call is coming, the PBX will may send your Phone an INVITE datagram message which contains the information: external.line:

Please Note: the precondition is that your PBX support this function.
3. Ringtone setting in Directory is second.
For example: David is set as a contact in Directory, and Ring is set as Ring4. When David calls Account 1, Ring4 will ring.
4. Ringtone setting in Group is Three
If David's Ringtone is not set, it is Default. But David is in a group, for example Sales Group. The Ring is set as Ring5 for Sales Group. When David calls Account2, Ring5 will ring.
5. Ringtone setting in Profile is Four
When Ring of contact in Directory is set as default and the group is also set as Auto, or the contact is not in a group, then the ring setting in Profile works.

Profile1: P104, Profile2: P423, Profile3: P523, Profile4: P623, Profile5: P1723, Profile 6: P1823
Value: 0-8
In this situation, Ring7 will ring when there is a call to Account that selects Profile1. Same with Profile2/3/4/5/6, if you set the Profile Ringtone as Ring7, Ring7 will ring when there is a call to Account that selects Profile2/3/4/5/6.
6. Ringtone setting in Setting is Five
If the Ringtone in Directory, Group and Profile are set as Default, the Ringtone under Setting works. Pcode:P8721 Value:0-8
Ringtone setting here is equal to Ringtone setting on LCD (Menu-Settings-Basic Settings-Ring Tone).
If you set the Ringtone as Ring8 on Webpage or on LCD, Ring8 will ring when there is a call coming in this feature needs the support of your PBX, please contact your administrator if you have no idea about it.
