Introduction

Htek IP phone supports a Panic Button that connects to the USB port of the IP phone to implement various configuration functions. It can be used in normal mode and emergency mode, with different usage scenarios. This is described in detail below.

Ways to configure

1. Connecting to the IP Phone

·Plug the Panic Button into the USB port on the back (or side) of the IP phone.

·After the connection is successful, the following message is displayed on the LCD screen: “USB Button is connected!”

2. Configuring Panic Button

It can be configured via three ways.

Configuration via web interface

1. Login: Input the IP address in the web browser. (Login name: admin; default password: admin).

2. Click Setting -> Function keys ->USB KEY

3. Choose Panic Button mode and type

4. Fill in the value (optional)

5. Click SaveSet

Configuration via phone interface

1. Click Menu -> USB ->USB KEY

2. Choose Panic Button type

3. Fill in the value(optional)

4. Click Save

It can be configured by modifying the P value of the parameter. After saving, upload configuration file to the server and do provision or restore the configuration file on the web page.

Panic Button Mode & Usage Scenarios

The Panic Button has two modes with three common functions.

When the phone lock is on, the Panic Button works normally, either in normal or emergency mode.

The functions in emergency mode have the highest priority. When it is pressed, IP phone will immediately stop current functions, and perform the Panic Button function. When IP phone is ringing, in a call, dialing or holding, press the button, the phone will hang up current call and perform the Panic Button function.
