Before connecting devices to HDMS and displaying them in the device list, you may have to upload the models of the devices in Device Model. Meanwhile, the model will be used to create a global model template for auto provisioning. You can check this LINK for more info about obtaining configuration.

Add or Download a Device Model
1．Click Device Management -> Device Model.
2．Click +Add button on the top left corner.
3．Enter the device model and upload JSON file.
The value in Device Model field must be equal to the model name of the device, you want to deploy in HDMS. You can check the model name of a device on its web page or LCD.
4．Click Confirm button.
When a device is added in Device Management -> Device List for the for the first time, HDMS will generate the default MAC configuration file based on the model of the device in Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration, according to the {model of a device}.zip in the model list in Device Management -> Device Model.
You can download the JSON file of the model as a template.
1．Click Device Management -> Device Model.
2．Click 
on the right side of a device model.
3．Click {model of a device}.zip -> Download.
On the Page of Device Model
1 | The filter area, where you can search for models. |

3 | The list of device models you have added. |
 | You can update the model in the list. |
 | You can delete the model in the list. |
Edit a Device Model
You can modify the name of the added device model or upload a new JSON file (ZIP format).
1．Click Device Management -> Device Model.
2．Click 
on the right side of the device model.
3．Edit information. If you want to edit the configuration of the device model, you should delete the old one and upload a new file which has been edited.
4．Click Confirm button.
Delete a Device Model
1．Click Device Management -> Device Model.
2．Click 
on the right side of the device model. The popup will show the tips: Confirm Delete?
3．Click Confirm button.
