HDMS can manage up to 15000 devices. You can add the info devices here. After connecting devices to HDMS, you can see the devices in the device list and manage them. You can manage firmware and resource and push them to devices as well.

Manage Device List

In the device list, you can monitor and assign tasks to devices, assign accounts to devices, push configuration, resource, firmware and so on.

Add a Device or a Brunch of Devices

Please check the section Choose the Best Way to Make Devices Connect to HDMS, where SEVEN solutions are provided to add devices in HDMS based on different scenarios, in advance.

Before You Start

You need to make sure in Device Management -> Device Model, the model of the devices exists. Otherwise, you have to upload the models of the devices. Check this SECTION.

Procedure

  1. Click Device Management -> Device List → .

  2. Fill in the info of the device.

Device Name

(Required & Unique) The name of the device.

Device Model

(Required) Choose the model of the device.

MAC

(Required) Fill in the MAC address of the device

Sync RPS

(It depends)

  • Yes: The device will obtain the configuration created via RPS and HDMS when auto provisioning. Check this LINK for the strategy of creating configuration via HDMS.

  • No: The device will NOT obtain the configuration created by HDMS after auto provisioning.

RPS Cfg Url

(It depends, when Sync RPS is Yes) The IP address of the server, which RPS points to.

Site

(Required) Choose a site, the device belongs to.

Profile

(Optional) The profile(s), the device will get after auto provisioning.

Account

(Optional) The account(s), the device will get after auto provisioning.

  1. Click Confirm.

Or you can upload an excel file, which contains bulk information of devices, to add more devices at once.

Procedure

  2. In the excel file, fill in necessary information.

  1. Click image-20240710-012212.png , choose the excel file you have updated.

  2. Click Confirm.

Till now, you have added info of the devices in the device list. The status of the device is Offline right now. To make devices connect to HDMS (the status is Registered or Unregistered), check this SECTION.

Status

  • Offline: The device is not connecting with HDMS right now.

  • Unregistered: The device has connected with HDMS, but the account is not registered.

  • Registered: The device has connected with HDMS, but the account is not registered.

  • Join Blacklist: The device in the blacklist is not shown in Device List and not connected with HDMS.

  • Detail: View the info of the device.

Push Files, like configuration, resource and firmware, to Devices

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Choose the device(s).

3.Click More button on the top left corner and choose an option:

  • Pushing configuration file: Choose the model configuration or factory configuration. Then choose execution mode (At Once/ Timing).

The model configuration comes from the model template in Config Management -> Model Configuration. The factory configuration comes from Device Management -> Device Model.

  • Pushing resource file: Choose the resource group, resource type, resource file and execution mode (At Once/ Timing).

  • Pushing firmware: Choose the firmware group, firmware and execution mode (At Once/ Timing).

  1. Click Confirm button.

Edit the Info of a Device

  1. Click Device Management -> Device List.

  2. Click  image-20240710-012957.png  on the right of the device.

  3. Edit information of the device.

  4. Click Confirm button.

After Sync RPS is enabled, the default configuration server path of the device will be redirected to the management system. If you want to provision the configuration through own server, please enter the RPS Cfg Url.

Assign an Account to a Device

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Click  image-20240710-013108.png  on the right side of the device.

3.Choose the profile and account which have been added in the system. If you want to empty the profile or account of this device, please choose %NULL% option.

4.Click Confirm button.

When the account registered or unregistered, the server will automatically update the account status. Click device status on the device list and you will see the details of each account status.

Turn On or Turn Off DND

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Choose the device.

3.Click More button on the top left corner and choose DND/Cancel DND option.

4.Choose account(s) which you want to update.

5.Select the execution mode of push update in the pop-up box.

6.Click Confirm button.

Add devices to Blacklist

Devices cannot connect to the system if you blacklist them.

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Click  image-20240710-013216.png  on the right side of the device and choose Join Blacklist. The popup will show the tips: Confirm Execute?

3.Click Confirm button.

Restore the Devices Back from Blacklist

1.Click Device Management -> Device Blacklist.

2.Click image-20240710-013224.png  on the right side of the device. The popup will show the tips: Confirm Execute?

3.Click Confirm button.

Delete Devices

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Delete a device or more devices.

  • Delete a device:

    • Click   on the right of the device. The popup will show the tips: Confirm Delete? Device and account will be unbound! Mac Config Will Delete Together!

    • Click Confirm button.

  • Delete more devices:

    • Choose devices.

    • Click Delete button on the top left corner. The popup will show the tips: Confirm Delete? Device and account will be unbound! Mac Config Will Delete Together!

    • Click Confirm button.

Rebooting Devices

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Choose the devices and click More button.

3.Choose Reboot. You can select the execution mode of push update in the pop-up box.

  • At Once: device will reboot immediately.

  • Timing: Enter the Task Name and Execution Time. Then choose one option at Repeat. Device will reboot at execution time.

4.Click Confirm button.

Resetting to Factory

You must use this function with caution. Performing this operation will restore the configuration of the device to the factory settings.

1.Click Device Management -> Device List.

2.Choose the devices and click More button.

3.Choose Reset To Factory.  You can select the execution mode of push update in the pop-up box.

4.Click Confirm button. The popup will show the tips: HDMS will clear the setting information of the selected phone.

5.Click Confirm button.
