FtpServer

Available models: UCV series

Available Version: 5.42.1.2.0

FtpServer app could run a built-in FTP server on the phone.

To do this, the user could upload an APK file through the FtpServer to install the app instead of searching and installing it on Google Play Store or some other app market.

This is useful if the user wants to install a specific version of the app, or an app he cannot find in the market.

In the next section, we will have a short guide to show you how to use it.

Note: Now it is not supported to use this feature when connect to expansion module.

  1. Click the FtpServer app on the phone.
You will see the below prompt to ask for permission, please click ALLOW.

  2. After that, you will enter the FtpServer app.
The default status of it is not running. Before you use it, please click the right top Settings button.

  3. Then please disable Anonymous mode on the left-top and set Username and Password.

  4. The last step to setup the FtpServer app is to switch it to run after you confirm your setting in the above.

  5. Now you could start to use it. We use a simple FTP client tool - FlashFXP as an example.
Open the tool on your PC, and setup a quick connection.

  6. You will see success connection message in the FlashFXP log window. And you could transfer the file that you want to the phone.

  7. After the transferring is finished, switch to Folder label and you will see the file.
If this is an apk file, the phone will skip to the installation page to install it.
