MAC Configuration

Once a device has added in Device Management -> Device List, HDMS will create cfg{mac}.xml based on the strategy – Global (Device Management -> Device Model) < Parent Site < Current Site < MAC.

Set Configuration and Push

You can set the parameters in TWO ways:

  • Upload a configuration file

The name format of the configuration should be cfg{mac}.xml. For example, cfg001fc11d6493.xml.

1.Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

2.Click image-20240710-084303.png .

3.Click Choose button and select the configuration file to upload.

4.Click Confirm button. The popup will show the tips: Update the device configuration now?

5.Click Cancel button and the parameters will be saved. Or you can click Confirm button to push the configuration to the device.

  • By text

1.Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

2.Click   on the right side of the MAC configuration.

3.Enter the configuration parameters to be updated.

4.Click Confirm button. The popup will show the tips: Update the device configuration now?

5.Click Cancel button and the parameters will be saved. Or you can click Confirm button to push the configuration to the device.

If you want to reset these parameters to default, please click Reset Default button.

Push a MAC Configuration to a Device

  1. Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

  2. Click image-20240710-084359.png  on  the right side of  the group.  The popup will show the tips: Update the   device configuration now?

  3. Click Confirm button.

Download a MAC Configuration

You can download the MAC configuration to the local to view the updated configuration or save it as backup.

1.Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

2.Click  image-20240710-084439.png  on the right side of the configuration.

3.Save as a local file.

Upload Information of Devices

The added device information will be automatically synchronized to the MAC configuration list. You can also manually upload the device information.

1.Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

2.Click image-20240710-084505.png  on the top left corner. Save it as a local file.

3.Open the template and enter the information of devices and save as a new file.

4.Click image-20240710-084511.png  on the top left corner.

5.Choose the new file and click Confirm button.

Export MAC Configurations

HDMS supports exporting the configuration file(s) of single or multiple devices at the same time. When exporting multiple devices, the ZIP format files will be downloaded. After decompression, the corresponding configuration files of these devices can be viewed.

1.Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

2.Choose the device(s).

3.Click  image-20240710-084526.png  and save as a local file.

Reset Configurations to Default

You can restore the device configuration to its original deployment status.

1.Click Configuration Management -> MAC Configuration.

2.Reset a device configuration or more device configurations.

  • Reset a device configuration:

    • Click  image-20240710-084542.png  on the right of the MAC configuration. The popup will show the tips: Confirm Pause? The default will be restored after reset, but not restored!

    • Click Confirm button.

  • Reset more device configurations:

    • Choose device configurations.

    • Click image-20240710-084559.png . The popup will show the tips: Confirm Pause? The default will be restored after reset, but not restored!

    • Click Confirm button.
